Heritage Consultancy.

Sensitive change, delivered with precision.

Radical restraint.

Historic buildings hold more than stone and timber. They carry the character of a place and the memory of the people who shaped it. More than one in five homes in England, and a third of non-domestic buildings, predate 1919.

Handled carelessly, they become liabilities. Handled with expertise, they become assets fit for the future. We read each building before we change it, so every decision protects what matters and opens up what’s possible.

Heritage Statements

We produce detailed Heritage Statements for planning applications, written in line with Historic England’s Advice Note 12.

These explain:
• the age and significance of the building
• what matters most and why
• what can (and cannot) be changed
• how proposals affect the historic fabric

These documents help secure planning consent and reduce the risk of costly delays or objections.

Technical Excellence for Heritage Sites

Heritage projects require precision, not just architectural sensitivity, but the highest technical standards.

That’s why, during our Technical Design phase, we provide industry-standard NBS Specifications.

We also create full NBS specifications alongside our Building Regulation drawings.

This ensures:
  • the correct materials are used
  • workmanship meets industry standards
  • contractors are working from fully coordinated, robust information
  • heritage details are protected during construction
This level of detail protects your building and your investment.
